Birch Hump Jumper & Point Turner

Two tools in one. As a hump jumper it keeps the presser foot level as you sew over thick seams, so the stitching stays even when you hem jeans or work with upholstery fabric. Turn it round and the pointed end pushes out the corners of collars, lapels, cuffs, pockets and belts.

Using it as a hump jumper

As you approach the bulky side seam on a pair of jeans, slide the hump jumper under the back of the presser foot. This levels the foot while you sew through all those layers. Once you are through the thickest part, stop with the needle down, move the hump jumper to the front of the needle, and carry on sewing until the hem is level again.
